COLOURIMETRIC CALIBRATION FOR PHOTOGRAPHY, PHOTOGRAMMETRY, AND PHOTOMODELLING WITHIN ARCHITECTURAL SURVEY

Abstract. In accordance with the “Declaration of Rome on architectural survey”, we can affirm that recording and interpretation colour information in photographic surveying, photogrammetric surveying photomodelling requires careful planning Colour Imaging processes. Information acquired by an optical sensor is influenced not just actual photographed scene, but also spectral sensitivity sensor. We have adopted, from field Cultural Heritage, a method colourimetric calibration for digital photographs proposed some adjustments to finalise this process purposes Architectural Survey. With use target non-linear transformation algorithm, our statistically reconstructs colours conventionally unrecordable commercial camera. addition, as if object were exposed standard illuminant, assessing error parameter value each photo. By including every shot applying algorithm all taken, correlates data sets single illuminant: regarding photomodelling, leads more uniform detailed representation surfaces virtual models. present two successful examples application: one focused design physioplastic decoration another circular fountain historic villa.
